Buffalo Visions - Buffalo Jump Buffalo

This sculpted buffalo commemorates the days when millions of buffalo roamed the plains. The native tribes depended on these great beasts for food, clothing, and shelter. Often they would run entire herds off cliffs called "Jumps" in order to harvest a winter supply of meat. They wasted nothing and believed the buffalo to be sacred.
